Koh Chang, a Historic Place and One of The Atractive Places in Thailand

This place is a landmass of 429 kilometers square, and this place is called “Koh Chang”, or called “Elephant Island”. Because one reason, not that the size of the island, but because of the island shape was looked like elephant. Koh Chang is situated at easternmost province of Thailand. And this place is abutted on Cambodia. Koh Chang becomes the 45th of the Thailand National Park. Koh Chang becomes the National Park in 1982. There are also about more than 40 sles around this island (Koh Chang). Koh Chang is the amazing place for the tourists. This island is beautiful and quiet place. So, this island is not like another place, where has many of luxurious hotels, and bars. But, this is a peaceful island. A hilly Island, has the white sand beach, and has the spectacular waterfall.

Not all beautiful beaches are situated at the South of Thailand. In Koh Chang, you can to sunbathe above the white sand, and the white sand is smooth. This is a famous white sand beach, with some of the shops around, restaurant, and a variety of accommodation. Or you also can to enjoy “Klong Prao” Beach, where the beach is not too busy. Also there “Kai Bae” Beach, a popular place for the tourists. This is and pleasant place with many of inexpensive bungalow around.

This is a historic place. Koh Chang was a strategic area when the Indochina War was happening. And this place becomes the theatre of war. The war was between France Navy and Thailand Navy at that time. “Songkhla” and “Chonburi” are two of the battle ship. Both of them become the shipwrecked when the battle was happening around the “Ao Salak Phet” Sea. This is become the attractive spot for diving. For the tourists who not too like venturing on, they can to do snorkeling. After see the place where ever was become the battle location. You also can to visit the battle monument of Koh Chang, to knowing about the history of this island clearly.

The tourists also can to sailing the sea by rent a boat. And visit the other isles in this national park. Koh Chang is a beautiful place. You can try to relaxing your mind by sail boat. Sailing the sea and feel the fresh breeze and enjoy the wonderful sunset. The places where make available the boats are “White Sand Beach”, “Klong Prao”, “Kai Bae”, and “Bang Bao”.

In the tropical forest of Koh Chang we will find many of waterfalls. One of the waterfalls that you have to see is “Than Mayom”. The waterfall has four steps that almost vertical to the granite rock. Even, two of Thailand’s King, King Rama V and King Rama VI make their initial name in the peak of granite rock. Not far from this waterfall, there is “Klong Phlu Waterfall”. This is an amazing waterfall and famous enough.

Have you ridden an elephant? One of the transportation kinds that it may for you can to go into the forest was by ridden an elephant. You can enjoy the atmosphere in tropical forest of Thailand by ridden the elephant. As the name of this island, Elephant Island is the habitat of the many elephants that would be carries the tourist to walking around and enjoys the view of the tropical forest. Elephant is clever and friendly animal. Strong animal that would be carries the tourist to walking around the tropical forest easily.

Not only that, but Koh Chang also become the famous place for the trackers. By the untouchable tropical forest and rich in flora and fauna, this is an interesting place for hiking. Begin at simple route to the more challenging route. The best route is situated at southland of the island. If you lucky, in this route you would be see some of the unique animals.

The islander is still having a traditional life. The people in Koh Chang are able to maintain their traditional life style. And their traditional life becomes the interesting thing for the tourists. You can see and knowing about the fisherman daily life in “Bang Bao” village. The people lived in the houses that built in above the sea front. The houses was made of wood and connected to the each other house by wooden bridge. In “Kok Salak” village, the people also still maintain their traditional life style. Koh Chang is the interesting and attractive place for visited.

The Great Wall, a Legendary Ancient Buildings in the World

The Great Wall was built in 214 Before Christian (BC) by Qin Shi Huang, after he had finished consolidating his regulation and creating a united China for the first time. The wall was designed to stop the raids by the Xiongnu raiders from the north. There are 500.000 laborers were employed while the 32 year building period to create the Great Wall.

Even though the wall worked at keeping out the raiders and enemies, it did not stopping the internal problems which lead to a regime change in 206 Before Christian (BC) and the new leadership of the Han Dynasty. The first Han emperor, Taizong, was quick to see the profits of the wall against the raiders and ordered more walls to stretch out as far as Zhaoxiang, Gansu Province.

In Chinese, the Great Wall called “Wan Li Chang Cheng” the mean is “the Wall with the length as long as ten thousands Li”, (1 Li = 500 meters). The wall is cross nine provinces. The Great Wall of China stretches from Liaoning Province through Hebei Province, Tianjin Municipality, Beijing Municipality, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Shanxi Province, Shaanxi Province, and Ningxia Autonomous Region to Gansu Province in the country of China.

Wrote in some of book, the length of Great Wall is more than 5.000 kilometers. But some of book also wrote that the length of Great Wall is about 6.000 kilometers. The information makes us be confused. Which one is true? Actually, the Great Wall was branching. Totally, length of the Great Wall is 8.858,8 kilometers. The statement publicized in 18 April 2009, the measuring had done by used sophisticated technology. It was a longest buildings. Even in the book of “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” wrote that the Great Wall is the only one of the human’s buildings that able be seen from the moon.

Many people believe that, moreover the guides in Great wall often say that story. They say like that as a pride of their culture. But, many people also explain that the story is impossible. Even, by following the Chinese astronaut statement, Yang Liwei, he said that he can not see the Great Wall while he was being in space.

The Great Wall is listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Great Wall of China can be visited at many places along its length of several thousand kilometers. Its situation ranges from excellent to ruined and access from straightforward to quite difficult.

When we had climbed the Great Wall, from the seller around the Great Wall we can to buy some of souvenir and a certificate which state that “I HAVE CLIMED THE GREAT WALL” that wrote in Chinese and English. The certificate price was about US$ 6. The seller will write our full name in the certificate beautifully. Many people had visited the Great Wall, the legendary ancient buildings in the world.

Angkor Wat, the Exotic Palace of World Heritage Site

Angkor Wat built by King Suryavarman II in 12nd century. Angkor Wat used as the King’s temple and the capital also. To build the temple, the workers use the stone from the mountain as far as 50 kilometers, the stone weight was about 4 tons. Then the stone chiseled and the workers arrange the stones until become a temple.

After King Suryavarman had died. Then the empire changed by King Jayavarman VII that also build his temple and new capital named Angkor Thom. Situated a few kilometers from Northbound of Angkor Wat.

The story of a loss of the temple was happen when Thailand Kingdom attack and grab all of palace property in Angkor Wat in 1481. Then the king leave the palace regretfully. And then he replaces the empire to Phon Phem. Year after year was passing away, until Angkor Wat covered by the jungle and the people forget the palace.

The entire of Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom was black. From the distance looked like black stones. Because when French discover the temple in 19th century, they clean the temple by burn the thicket that covering the temple.

The characteristic of Angkor Wat is resemble like Borobudur Temple and Prambanan Temple in Indonesia. On the wall of Angkor Wat chiseled relief that describe about the life in the past. Other relief also situated many of statues in the temple entrance. God statue situated in right side, and devil statue situated in left side. Several of statues was stand sturdily. But several of statues have no head or broken. It caused by somebody who steal the statue and sell the statue.

In Ta Prohm Temple, there is one old and tall tree growing in the temple. As the story goes, the temple built by King Jayavarman VII in memory of his mother. By following the story of people around, the king love his mother so much. Then, when his mother had died, the tree was growing to protect the king or her son. There are thousands of Buddha statues in this temple, but the condition is broken now.

About 1 million tourists visit this world heritage site every year. To come in the Angkor Wat the visitors must paying US$ 40. Then the official will take the visitor’s picture as the identity card. The visitors must show the card during in the Angkor Wat location.

Mount Sanqingshan, the Spectacular Nature View in China

The name of Mount Sanqingshan is no stranger to people in China even in the world. Mount Sanqingshan was a beautiful blend a number of mount like Mount Hu-angshan, Mount E’Mei, Mount Lushan, and Mount Huashan. The entire of the mount was very beautiful. Mount Sanqingshan comprise of forest, waterfall, and granite rocks that very amazing, also situated a unique characteristic of Taoism culture. Mount Sanqingshan also known as Tao Mountain. All of that becomes a variety of tourism object that make the people who visit here amazed.

Mount Sanqingshan Naional Park was an area about 22.905 hectares that it was one of the world heritage site. The mountain was situated about 50 miles from Yushan, Jiangxi. The mountain ranges are spectacular views. The meaning of Sanqingshan or “San Qing” was “Three Peaks”; that was Yujing Mountain, Yushui Mountain, and Yuhua Mountain. Among the three of the mountain, Yujing Mountain was the top level, about 1.817 meters above the sea level.

The tourists also have a chance to see and enjoy some of natural phenomenon like Sea Cloud, Waterfall Cloud, bright light of Sanqing, and Five Colors of Path on the Cloud, and many more of unique things can you see here. Not only that, in spring, the tourists can to enjoy a view like mount that snow capped.

Mount Sanqingshan known by the people as the spectacular nature view in China. Chinese National Geography has recommend the mount as one of five mounts that most beautiful in China. Even, Chinese Geologist and American Geologist agree that the granite rock of Mount Sanqingshan as the most spectacular granite in West of Pacific Ocean.

Mount Sanqingshan becomes the spiritual center that very important for Tao religion followers. Tao was an ancient culture that so unique in China. Tao buildings was a historic place like Sanqing Temple, Palace of Dragon and Tiger, Pagoda of Wind, and Pagoda of Storm. Tao buildings also has characteristic carving that so interest.

Mount Sanqingshan or San Qing Mountain had registered a National Park of China. It was famous honey pot in China. There are 2.373 species of flora and 1.728 species of fauna in Mount Sanqingshan. Mount Sanqingshan becomes the most multifarious ecology in East Asia. There are 144 flora and fauna that protected by National Key Protection in China.
